Pentacon was awarded the construction management mandate after a rigorous selection process to support the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) in its relocation strategy and fit up process at Cadillac Fairview’s Eaton Centre Tower. The design intent and functionality of the space serves as a homebase to the COC, Canadian Olympic Foundation staff and athletes, allowing them to come together and promote the values of the Olympic Movement. The open-air, collaborative space integrates sports visuals throughout, representing Team Canada. Numerous interior hotelling and meeting rooms, as well as a town hall to allow up to 120-staff and guests to attend gatherings. The hall is made up of smaller ‘flexible’ areas for staff use. There was a stadium bleacher constructed on-site, which flows next to the café and kitchen, designed to support high volumes of activity when hosting events.
